## **Risk Confirmation Update for Funds Based in Germany or Targeting German Market**

Starting **31 December 2024**, changes to the **German Bureaucracy Relief Act IV (BEG IV)** will impact Risk Confirmations for semi-professional investors:

- **No more wet-ink signature or QES Required**: Under the updated German Investment Code, semi-professional investors can now provide their risk confirmation in simple text form without the need for a wet-ink signature or Qualified Electronic Signature (QES).
- **Faster Signing Process**: Vestlane has been updated to reflect this change, helping you save time while staying compliant.

💡 This is particularly relevant for funds based in Germany or funds that market to German-based investors and simplifies the onboarding process for semi-professional investors.
